Instructions & Commands

Set up Clipperino and master the chat commands.

Quick Setup

Log in with Twitch on the front page. (We’ll request chat + clip scopes.)
(Optional) Connect Spotify under Settings to enable song requests.
If you want Channel Points–only song requests, re-link Twitch so we have channel:read:redemptions and channel:manage:redemptions.

Tip: existing users need to re-authenticate once to grant the new scopes.

Clipping

!clip — creates a Twitch clip of the current stream moment.

If permitted, Clipperino can send the clip as the streamer for better discoverability.

Now Playing

!song — shows the current Spotify track (if Spotify is connected).

Song Requests (Viewers)

!sr <query or Spotify URL> chat mode

Examples: !sr kendrick lamar feel or !sr https://open.spotify.com/track/…

Reward mode: viewers redeem your Channel Points reward and can paste a link or type a search query there as well.

Skip (Mods/Streamer)

!skipsong — skips to the next track.

You can also bind a Channel Points reward to trigger skip automatically (see admin controls below).

Song Requests — Admin Controls (Mods/Streamer)

!sr on / !sr off / !sr status — enable/disable & check status.
!sr mode chat / !sr mode reward — switch between chat requests or Channel Points only.
!sr create <title> <cost> — create a Channel Points reward and bind it.
Example: !sr create Song Request 200
!sr bind <reward title> — bind to an existing reward by title.
Example: !sr bind Song Request
!sr reward — show which reward is bound.
!sr unbind — detach the reward.

Notes: In reward mode, plain !sr in chat is ignored — viewers must redeem the reward. The reward input accepts either a Spotify link or a search query.

Skip — Admin Controls

!skip on / !skip off / !skip status — enable/disable & check skip features.
!skip create <title> <cost> — create a “Skip Song” Channel Points reward and bind it.
Example: !skip create Skip song 200
!skip bind <reward title> — bind to an existing reward by title.
!skip reward — show which skip reward is bound.
!skip unbind — detach the skip reward.

Vote Skip

!skipsongcount <number> — set the vote-skip threshold (per channel).
!voteskip — any viewer can vote. When the threshold is reached, the bot runs !skipsong.

Votes auto-reset after a short timeout or after a successful skip.

Troubleshooting

“Use the Channel Points reward…” — you’re in reward mode. Redeem the reward instead of typing !sr.
No results for a query — try a Spotify link or a more specific search.
Not connected to Spotify — go to Settings and connect Spotify.
Bound reward not triggering — re-link Twitch to grant the redemptions scopes, then use !sr/!skip bind or !sr/!skip create again.
